Recent Illustrations...print shop coming
Here are a couple of recent illustrations I've finished. Based upon responses from people at last years Comic-Con, friends, family, etc. I've decided to re-vamp this blog, and start up a little print shop where you (all 8 of you) can buy prints of my work. I've really been flattered by the comments I've gotten thru Facebook and in person from people seeing my work. I'll try to get it all sorted out over the next week or two. In the meantime, hope you like the latest pieces.

Fantom Studios Booth #5363...Book pics
Well the Con is just around the corner now. I have boxes of books waiting to go, and I'm working hard at selecting and making prints to sell as well. I will be at booth# 5363 with my friends, we'll be there under the name Fantom Studios. The pics here are of the actual book, so you can see what some of the pages look like. It's "sugarhoneyicedtea vol.1" The Art of Brent Whittington. Again, Lulu is the way to go if you want to self publish a book. They were great to deal with, and I'm really pleased with how the book turned out. I look forward to seeing everyone at the show...please stop by and say hello.

The Con is on
After many years of going to the SanDiego Comic-Con, and wondering what it would be like to be on the other side of the booths, this year I'll finally get to know. I will be sharing a booth with a few friends of mine and I will be selling a book, as well as prints and maybe even t-shirts.
The book will be entitled "sugarhoneyicedtea vol. 1". It will be 50+ pages of full color art. I've been hard at work on this for months, working mostly way into the middle of the night most days of the week. But I'm almost finished so I thought I'd post a few images. I'll post more soon, and leave all of the Comic-Con info up.
Thanks...enjoy.

El Santo
This is another gallery piece I've created for Gallery Nucleus. They have an annual show where all of the pieces are 5 x 7 and sell for around $100...and all of the money goes to a charity. This year it's for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The theme was open...so I was able to do anything I wanted. This is what I came up with...I decided to do a little lucha libre guy...named El Santo. Since it's a digital piece, I added lots of layers and did a treatment to it to make it look better than just a flat color piece. Hope you like it.

Gallery Nucleus Show
I'm going to be in a gallery show at Gallery Nucleus in LA. I'm pretty excited about it...I haven't really been in a show like this before, so it's pretty cool to me. Anyway...here's the latest version of the piece. The theme of the show is Saturday morning cartoons...so I did a re-vamping of Josie and the Pussycats, added a new character in there, and put my own twist on it all. The opening night of the show is Saturday, February 10th...and the gallery is located here: 30 West Main Street Alhambra, CA 91801 Anyway...hope to see you there.
